Our business was founded 40 years ago in Villagrande Strisaili, a town of about 3,000 inhabitants located in the heart of Ogliastra.

Enclosed by the mountains on three sides and open to the sea on the fourth side, the Villagrande area is unique in the beauty of its views and characteristic of its products: the sea breezes, rising up to the mountains, in fact characterize the quality and taste of the area’s agricultural and food production.

The richness of the forests of holm oak, oak, cork oak and juniper has also created the ideal habitat for sheep farming and breeding, especially pigs: an ancient tradition that has made the village famous throughout the island for the quality of its products.

Today, the Salumificio di Villagrande carries on this tradition by continuing to offer unique cured meats made only with 100% Sardinian meat, dedicated to those who appreciate the superior quality of cured meats coming exclusively from pigs born and raised in Sardinia.

The selection of raw materials, attention to food safety and processing using traditional methods in accordance with recipes handed down from generation to generation enable us to obtain high quality products.

Prosciutto Crudo di Villagrande - Cured Ham

Villagrande ham is produced using 100% Sardinian meat. Tender, lean, deep red in color, fragrant and tasty it is truly unmistakable.The microclimate, the fresh and healthy air of the uncontaminated Ogliastra mountains, give the product a special seasoning, bringing it to a perfect maturity. The respect for traditions, associated with modern production techniques, preserves in the Villagrande Ham, that unmistakable taste that makes it a true masterpiece.

Villagrande cooked ham - Meat product

Delicate and flavorful, Villagrande cotto is produced entirely in Sardinia, with 100% Sardinian meat, from pigs born and raised on our island. It is a “high quality ham,” slowly cooked at low temperature, without allergens and polyphosphates.

Technical specifications.

Pork leg 95% (origin: Italy), water, salt, flavorings, dextrose, antioxidants: (E301) sodium ascorbate; sodium nitrite (E250). Approximately 8 kg weight per piece.

Uses

The recipe that makes it tasty and delicate was developed keeping in mind the directions of modern nutrition, in which cooked food is often found as an appetizer, snack or main course. Perfect even in the diet of the little ones.

Villagrande Sausage - Cured Sausage

A product made from only pork, minced, kneaded and flavored with: salt, pepper, spices and natural flavorings, stuffed into natural casings. At the end of production, the sausage is matured for a period of about 20 to 30 days. It has a curved horseshoe shape, dark red color, firm texture and typical taste.

Technical specifications.

Pork (Origin: Italy), salt, dextrose, sugar, flavorings. Antioxidants: E300.Preservatives: E250, E252. About 350gr.
