Ruju - artisanal liquor factory

Artisanal liquor factory opened in 2019 from the idea of a son of emigrants who wanted to reconnect with his roots.

The company looks to tradition in terms of production processes and raw materials, which are strongly rooted in the territory of Ogliastra, and takes a modern approach to the choice of product mixes (orange/carob/quince, licorice with myrtle leaves), as well as a packaging choice that is more modern than traditional.

Production that is around 10,000 bottles with maximum attention to detail.

Mission and values:
The defining idea is to use local products, especially those that were once most in vogue such as, oranges or carobs, and now have less momentum.

The greatest strength that sets us apart is definitely our modern approach to the world of spirits: instead of making a “seen-it-all product,” we always prefer to experiment with new flavors and new combinations, strengthened by the enormous amount of wonderful products that a land like Sardinia offers.

Target Markets:
Our market is equidivided between Sardinia and northern Italy: Ogliastra is our stronghold, but it is nice to know that our products are appreciated outside our borders.
Innovation in flavors offers consumers a unique culinary experience by shortening the seafood supply chain and favoring local producers, in presentation, serving and sales, such as pasta, carasau, beer and wine.

Myrtle Ruju, liqueur

A prince of Sardinian tradition, gentle pressing is carried out during the process so that only the best part of the infusion is extracted. In the glass a softer, less tannic taste of surprising complexity. The total absence of flavors or coloring agents allows the liqueur to mature over time.

Santeria licorice, liqueur

The identity-driven reinterpretation of a classic: Santeria represents the  blend of different traditions brought together in a totally new mix. The strength of pure licorice and the balsamic freshness of myrtle leaves, processed for the occasion by decoction. Produced, as always, without flavoring or coloring.
