Oleificio Pelau is a farm located between Jerzu and Cardedu in Ogliastra, an area of Sardinia known for the longevity of its population.
The company specializes in the production of organic extra virgin olive oil, made from native varieties such as monocultivar ogliastrina and pluricultivar semidana, bosana and coratina, harvested strictly by hand.
Each olive is processed using methods that preserve the organoleptic and antioxidant properties, resulting in an oil with a strong character, with notes of artichoke, tomato and green apple.
In addition to oil production, Oleificio Pelau makes pate and a cosmetic line based on organic EVO oil. The company follows a sustainable agricultural philosophy, reducing its environmental impact through the recovery and reuse of waste.
n 2022, it obtained Kosher certification, giving it access to new international markets.
The company has developed an oleotourism model that offers visitors an immersive experience in the world of oil, with tastings, cultural events and the chance to discover the production process up close.
The goal is to enhance the territory and the culture of oil, turning the company into a reference point for experiential tourism in Sardinia.
In the future, Oleificio Pelau plans to expand hospitality with themed rooms in an old farmhouse and establish an academy to train oil professionals.

Organic extra virgin oil 100% monovarietal ogliastrina
It mainly uses the native Ogliastrina cultivar, which is hardy and adapted to Sardinian soils, often in combination with Semidana and Bosana. It has received numerous awards for quality.
Fresh fruitiness reminiscent of freshly pressed olives, with elegant herbaceous notes and hints of artichoke.
