Poultry farm “the Chicken Coop”
The poultry farm “IL POLLAIO” has been producing, for more than 40 years, San Vito Chicken, a free-range chicken that is widely distributed to butcher shops and supermarkets throughout Sardinia.
St. Vitus Chicken is fed only healthy and controlled raw materials, with a balanced soybean and corn feed. The animals’ sleep/wake rhythms are strictly observed so that they are quiet at night and can rest.
The St. Vitus Chicken lives in large spaces appropriate for population density, allowing the animals abundant freedom of movement, with large windows and hatches that are left open on fine days.
It is easily recognized on butcher shop counters by its distinctive yellow color due to its corn and soybean feed, and by the unmistakable yellow stapled seal on the breast of each chicken.
At our Company, animal welfare comes first, and is the key to obtaining a product with excellent organoleptic characteristics to be integrated into a healthy diet.

The company Il Pollaio over the years, also through technological innovations, has been able to further increase the quality of the product and make the company more sustainable in terms of energy and environmental impact, first by using certified energy produced from renewable sources, and later by making itself completely autonomous through the installation of photovoltaic panels. Inside the company, all kinds of sanitary treatment have been eliminated through the use in the rooms of a bactericide/fungicide of natural origin derived from the transformation of salt by electrolysis, which has made the spaces even healthier and more welcoming.
