Mother Nature, Ogliastra Events’ project dedicated to good nutrition, kicks off
“Mother Nature: education for good nutrition” is the project promoted by the Ogliastra Eventi association with the contribution of the Fondazione di Sardegna and the partnership of ITS Blue Zone Foundation, which has been committed for years to the theme of longevity, healthy food and good nutrition with a privileged eye on an area, Ogliastra precisely, which is one of the five areas in the world where we live the most. And in order to continue to eat well, it is necessary to educate the new generations to eat optimally, with genuine products, the fruit of crops without poisons and simple manufacturing processes that are respectful of what we are going to eat.
Proper nutrition, therefore, is an effective preventive tool to protect health. Educating on healthy and proper nutrition contributes to maintaining health status and preventing disease. Dietary behaviors are acquired very early in an individual’s life; therefore, it is a priority to implement nutrition education programs. This is the spirit that prompted the Ogliastra Eventi association to try its hand at an eduative initiative.
